Big thanks to those of you who made it out to the Day of the Dead festival in Oakland. For those of you who live too far away to make the trip, here are a few photos of our installation. It was a great success despite some earlier snafus with the size and orientation of the space. We got copious amounts of compliments and even a few tears while people admired our commemoration of the late, great Jim Henson. It was the first time Chanda and I had worked together since high school and while it was a lot of work to put together, I think I can speak for both us when I say that the smiles and great feedback from the festival goers made it all worthwhile. Kind of a trip to see thousands of folks looking at our handy work as well.

Now that this project is off the boards I have even more up my sleeve. Stay tuned for more info on upcoming events.

After nearly a months worth of travelling (had great fun), I am back home and fully immersed in projects. Currently I am elbow deep in paper mache, glitter, paint and Sesame St. toys working to prepare the altar for the Day of the Dead festival. Apparently, it is the largest annual festival in Oakland. So much to do, so little time.

I am also nearing completion of an online store that will sell my idiosyncratic artwork on all sorts of products. Look for the launch announcement soon!
